Kelly 'offered Woman $250,000 For Sex Tape'
The troubled R+B star stands accused of videotaping himself having sex with a 13-year-old girl. He has pleaded not guilty to all 14 counts of child pornography.
On Monday (2Jun08), Lisa Van Allen told jurors she first had sex with Kelly and the alleged victim in front of a camera in 1998.
Van Allen claims the incident took place in the same Illinois home where prosecutors say the sex tape at the centre of the case also was made.
She told jurors she cried throughout a second sexual encounter in 1999 with Kelly and the alleged victim, whom she believed to be 16.
In her testimony, Van Allen claims Kelly last year (07) offered her the money to recover a tape of one of his sexual encounters. She claims she was later given just $20,000 (GBP10,000) after one of Kelly's associates collected the tape from a hotel in Chicago.
Van Allen also testified that Kelly carried a duffel bag containing his homemade sex tapes everywhere he went.
She told the court, "Wherever he was at, the bag would follow him."
However, defence attorneys accused her of trying to extort the singer. They will open their case on Wednesday (4Jun08).

Mixed reception for Indiana Jones at Cannes
While some praised the long-awaited movie, others were underwhelmed and the overall impression was of a film that wasn't truly bad, but failed to be brilliant.
You can watch some exclusive 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' videos here.
Harrison Ford, who returns to the role of Dr Jones 19-years on from the last movie, insisted he was not concerned about the critical reaction to his latest adventure, saying the only people who mattered were the fans.
Excitement surrounding the film reached fever-pitch as the cast and crew attended the screening, with thousands of fedora-wearing fans lining the streets to cheer on the stars.
Those involved in the film, including Cate Blanchett, Shia LaBeouf, Ray Winstone, Karen Allen, George Lucas and John Hurt, received a standing ovation as they entered the cinema.
The massive celebrity guest list included Goldie Hawn, Cannes jury member Natalie Portman, Dennis Hopper, Linda Evangelista, Christian Slater, Tamara Mellon and Salma Hayek.
Speaking at a press conference, 65-year-old Ford said he was not afraid of what critics thought. He said: "I expect to have the whip turned on me. It is not unusual for something that is popular to be disdained by some people and I fully expect it. I'm not really worried about it. I work for the people who pay to get in - they are my customers. My focus is on providing the best experience I can for those people."
The fourth instalment in Spielberg's blockbusting adventure series begins in 1957 during the Cold War. Indy meets rebellious young Mutt (LaBeouf), who carries a grudge and a proposition for the archaeologist - if he will help on a personal mission, he could make one of the most spectacular finds in history - the Crystal Skull of Akator.
But Soviet agents are also hot on the trail of the crystal skull, including Irina Spalko (Cate Blanchett), whose elite military unit is scouring the globe.
Asked how Spielberg had changed over the last 20 years, Ford said: "As brilliant a director as he was 20 years ago, he's even better now, and I don't know how that's possible."
Spielberg said there would be more Indiana Joneses "only if you want more of them... We will have our ear to the ground to hear what happens and that will decide where we go from here."
He said it was 26 years since ET debuted at Cannes adding: "I'm very honoured to be back here again."
He continued to say that Ford started the ball rolling, saying maybe he was ready to put the fedora back on. "I had to be convinced the most, out of everybody."
Spielberg continued: "We thought that because this film was well-known the fair thing to do and the fun thing to do would be to view it when the entire world comes together at this festival."
'Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull' is released in Ireland this Thursday, 22 May.

Andrew Lloyd Webber - Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber Wins Outstanding Achievement Brit
Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has been awarded the outstanding achievement prize at the Classical Brits.
The West End impresario was presented with the award by ITV chairman Sir Michael Grade at the Royal Albert Hall ceremony on Thursday evening.
The I'd Do Anything judge saw his 60th birthday commemorated with his first Brit award, almost 25 years after he was awarded the Grammy for best contemporary classical composition for his Requiem Mass.
"Webber's musical legacy continues to include unparalleled success in musical theatre for which he has become famous through the world," the Classical Brits panel explained.
The NS&I album of the year prize, voted for by Classic FM listeners, went to vocal four-piece Blake, who formed after meeting via the Facebook social networking site.
Their eponymous album, which reached number one in the classical charts and the top 20 of the pop charts, becomes only the second debut release to win the NS&I album of the year at the Classical Brit awards.
Violinist Nichola Benedetti, 21, took the young British classical performer or group award for the first time, after two previous nominations, while soprano Anna Nebretko took her second Classical Brit in two years, winning the female artist of the year prize to follow her singer of the year award in 2007.
The male artist of the year award was claimed by Sir Colin Davis, the 80-year-old president of the London Symphony Orchestra, beating significantly younger nominees Rolando Villazon and Alfie Boe.
Other winners included James Newton Howard, who claimed the soundtrack of the year for Blood Diamond, and cellist Steven Isserli won the critics' choice award.
The Classical Brits, presented by Myleene Klass, can be seen on ITV1 on May 15th at 22:35 BST.
